Malaysian food is an exceptional combination of fresh ingredients, exotic spices, and stunning presentation, and most who try it are hooked for life. Authentic Malaysian cuisine is a centuries-old fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Portuguese cooking traditions and practices. Over time, Malaysia's multi-cultural population created the vibrant blend of spices, flavors and cooking techniques that food enthusiasts claim to be the most interesting and complex cuisine in the world.
Guests will experience the nation's most popular street food dishes from the ever-popular Laksa to the lesser known Otak-otak (ground fish grilled in banana leaves) and Nasi Kerabu (blue rice).

Our adventure focuses on casual dining that is fun, colorful and delicious. We're going to eat like the locals do - some food stalls will be nothing more than a tin shack under a large tree. Wobbly tables, plastic stools, servers that don't speak a word of English - you can expect all of this and more. In Southeast Asia, the best food comes from these modest spots - we'll be pulling back the curtain and giving you an inside look at a food culture that is the pride and passion of Malaysians.

Hotels: Boutique designer heritage or 4-star luxury hotels

The Fine Print: Tour price of $6,500 ($5,850 if deposit is placed by November 21st, 2018), is per person, based upon double or single occupancy. There are a limited number of single occupancy rooms available for this trip. Tour price includes the deposit. Local transportation in Malaysia does not include your personally booked travel aside from airport transfers and tour activies arranged by tour operator. Travel insurance and other personal expenses are not included in the price of this tour. We reserve the right to change the itinerary in case of unforeseeable circumstances. Final payment is due by December 21st, 2018. If the minimum number of participants (six) is not reached by December 21st, 2018, tour will not occur and all funds (deposits and full payments) will be refunded within 72 hours.
