About this event
Leveraging advanced digital technology to provide ongoing services to citizens and public sector employees
The increased adoption of digital technology has resulted in the creation of a digital economy as a result of 4IR. According to the World Economic Forum, 4IR entails a mix of technologies that progressively blend the physical, digital, and biological realms. The rapid adoption of digital technologies from 4IR and the integration of data will propel the digital economy forward.

Under Phase 1 of the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL), the government aims to focus on accelerating digital adoption to establish the digital foundation required for the speedy and smooth implementation of Phases 2 and 3.

Phase 2 (2023-2025) focuses on advancing digital transformation and inclusion across the digital economy, emphasising inclusivity among people and enterprises at all levels, while Phase 3 (2026-2030) focuses on establishing the country as a regional leader in digital content and cybersecurity.

1GovCloud is currently in charge of centrally operationalising cloud hosting services for government agencies. Government cloud enables public sector organisations to take advantage of emerging technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual/augmented realities (VR/AR), and others to improve the quality of government service delivery to citizens in the pursuit of the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030.

Starting with how an agency manages data and workloads, the public sector globally has profited from hybrid cloud. Staff can benefit from a hybrid cloud because it simplifies operations, reduces security risk, improves workload efficiency, expands capacity to meet demand surges, and lowers expenses.

Driving agility infrastructure with intelligence

It is critical for success to have an agile organisation that evolves to support creative service delivery. Agility at all levels reduces complexity and improves responsiveness, allowing the government to better serve the demands of citizens and companies. Adaptive services that respond to public and stakeholder demands, allowing for faster decision-making and more innovation.

Methodologies that are cutting-edge for resolving complicated problems

It's not a question of why, but when and how to go to the cloud. Cloud offers speed, agility and cost savings, but getting the most out of it demands overcoming challenging obstacles including data gravity, security, regulatory compliance, cost management, and the need for organisational change. Through a proven methodology for transforming people, processes, and technology, hybrid cloud solutions can assist in navigating cloud complexity and speeding up digital transformation initiatives.

Cost Savings through optimising usage at its finest

Due to application entanglement, data gravity, security and compliance, and uncertain prices, many organisations have struggled to deploy public service vital applications to the public cloud. Public sector organisations can simplify their digital transformation operations, improve innovation, and save money by using the right Hybrid strategy.

Initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and promote a green economy

According to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob's recent announcements, Malaysia is stepping up efforts to transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy, to become carbon-neutral by 2050. As many data centres age, this initiative can be performed through the growth of digital technology to meet the goals of sustainability.

OpenGov Asia is pleased to bring an exclusive Breakfast Insight that aims to provide the latest information on how the public sector is using advanced hybrid cloud to drive organisation mission outcomes. This is a closed-door, invitation-only, interactive session with Malaysia’s public sector technology leaders.

This unique session will present the latest research and case studies on the current use and possibilities for cyber security in the Food & Beverage, Automotive, and other important industries of Thailand such as:

USING new digital technology to make government processes more efficient
DEALING on difficult situations in a shorter time frame to reduce risk
INCREASING the speed with which decisions are made and allowing innovation to flourish
FACILITATING in the management of cloud complexity and the acceleration of digital transformation initiatives
INCREASING the efficiency of work in organisations to serve citizens with quick services
ADVANCING the capacity to accommodate surges in service demand and manage emergency response effectively
