"As we speak of addressing sustainability issues, I must also mention that it is not an issue that can be addressed by government policies alone. Only through close working relationships between the public and the private sector can policies be translated into clear and precise actions that produce results." said Dato' Haji Abdul Halim in his opening remarks.

"I am delighted to be able to see such an inspiring sight of how everyone is physically coming together to contribute to this momentous occasion of great significance, featuring networking at its best, Business-to-Business opportunities while promoting Penang's culinary culture through business events." Dato' Haji Abdul Halim adds.

"As the guardian of food safety in Malaysia, the Ministry of Health will continue to enhance the food safety control system throughout the supply chain. This can be achieved by adopting measures aimed at ensuring that unsafe food is not allowed to be placed in the market and that systems exist to identify, predict and respond to food safety problems." Said Puan Zalilah in her opening remarks.

"The food industry is of course a key partner in strengthening food safety and must also play its role in maintaining high food safety standards such as ensuring safe practices through the adoption of good agricultural practices as well as food safety assurance programmes, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). I am delighted to be able to see such an inspiring sight of how everyone is physically coming together to contribute to this momentous occasion of great significance, featuring networking at its best, Business-to-Business opportunities while ensuring food safety through business events." Puan Zalilah adds.

Also present at both roadshows was Mr. Henri Tan, Event Director for Southeast Asia region of Comexposium. "Food security is a critical issue that impacts the availability, accessibility, and affordability of food for our communities. As the organizer of Food & Drinks Malaysia, we strive to promote and support the local food industry in Malaysia through trade and business networking, which plays a crucial role in ensuring food security not only for Malaysia but also for our neighbouring countries." Said Mr. Henri Tan.
