The mission of the Asia-Pacific Hernia Society (APHS) is to provide a professional forum for the exchange of information and education regarding current and future methods of diagnosis and treatment of Abdominal Hernia, including hiatal, parastomal, and pelvic hernias.
Special attention is focused on basic science of biomaterials; metabolic disorders leading to hernia formation; diagnosis and treatment of hernia.
The Society will:
Organize meetings for presentation and discussion of scientific material
Support cooperation in educational activities around the Asia-Pacific Region
Support and undertake projects of scientific interest in the subject of hernia that will deserve the goal and the mission of the Society
